4 months agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Kevin Alcantara will join fellow prospects Matt Shaw and James Triantos in Triple-A Iowa on Monday. Alcantara, 22, is the currently the Cubs No. 6 prospect per MLB Pipeline and has spent the entire season with Double-A Tennessee. With Tennessee, Alcantara hit a respectable .271 with nine homers, 39 RBI and nine stolen bases in 291 at-bats. Alcantara stands tall at 6'6, 188 pounds, offering plenty of athleticism to go along with his powerful bat. He has also improved on his plate discipline since last year, allowing him to continue to improve at the dish. Although he isn't the Cubs top prospect, he may have the highest ceiling of their position players and should be on the radar of dynasty league managers.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
