2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte is getting a rest Thursday for the game against the San Diego Padres. The 29-year-old is hot at the plate, as he's seven for his last 17 and is batting .261 with two home runs, 12 runs, four RBI, and one stolen base overall through 17 games. Nick Ahmed is in the lineup instead, playing short and batting eighth to take on right-hander Michael Wacha. The two-time Gold Glove winner doesn't provide much with his bat but is hitting .316 with three steals to begin 2023. However, he's struggled against right-handers over his career with a .227 batting average and .622 OPS, so fantasy managers streaming Ahmed likely won't get much value.--Spencer Seguin
