Kerryon Johnson Looking to Establish Role in Week 2
6 years agoDetroit Lions rookie running back Kerryon Johnson did not have much of an opportunity to showcase his skills in the Week 1 blowout loss to the Jets. This Sunday's content in San Francisco should provide season-long owners a much better idea of what to expect from the Lions second-rounder in terms of workload and production level moving forward. If starter LeGarrette Blount is ineffective to begin the game, don't be surprised if Detroit turns to Johnson sooner rather than later, as the Lions are desperate for anything positive out of the running back position. Also, he is the only back on the roster that defenses aren't able to key on for the run or pass only, as is the case with Blount and Theo Riddick.
