Kerryon Johnson 2020 Outlook: Draft Addition Makes 2020 Role Unclear
5 years agoDetroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson saw his stock take a hit when his team used a second-round pick to select Georgia running back D'Andre Swift. Johnson has flashed plenty during his two seasons with the Lions but he has also struggled to stay on the field, playing through multiple injuries and appearing in just 18 of 32 possible games. In just eight games in 2019, Johnson tallied 403 rushing yards and three touchdowns. It remains to be seen just how Detroit plans to deploy their running backs but the addition of Swift, who many considered the top running back prospect in the class, leaves Johnson as nothing more than a late-round flier who will need an injury to Swift to be a consistent fantasy producer.
