Keone Kela Gets a Save on Sunday
7 years agoIn his first outing since taking a loss on Friday, Texas Rangers closer Keone Kela got a save on Sunday. It was the Rangers first opportunity to close a game since Friday and it was extremely promising they turned back to Kela, despite his rough outing. In Sunday's outing, Kela gave up two hits, but struck out two batters without giving up a run. Another promising sign was that Kela did not walk anyone, having walked four in just 5 2/3 innings previously. Kela now has three saves, two wins and eight strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. He appears locked in as the Rangers closer for the time being.
