Kenyan Drake's Injury Not A Factor In Limited Touches
6 years agoMiami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase said running back Kenyan Drake's lack of touches in Week 15 had nothing to do with his shoulder injury. Drake had just one carry in the game despite Frank Gore going down with a foot sprain that is expected to end his season. Rookie Kalen Ballage stepped in after Gore's injury and was given 12 carries, and he took advantage of the opportunity by running for 123 yards and a touchdown. For some reason Gase just doesn't like using Drake, and that shouldn't change now that Gore is out, especially after Ballage's performance in Week 15. Ballage has RB2 upside to close out the year if Drake continues to collect dust in the backfield.
