Kenyan Drake Is A Flex Option In Week 16
4 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake had his worst game of the year in Week 15 against the San Francisco 49ers. He rushed for just 26 yards on 10 carries and added two catches for 14 yards. His backup, Chase Edmonds (ankle), out-worked and out-produced him in the game, rushing 11 times for 47 yards while catching three passes for 19 yards and a touchdown. This week, Drake and the Cardinals face the San Francisco 49ers, who have a tough rushing defense, but they were just exposed by Tony Pollard and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, so they may be breaking down a bit. Edmonds is currently questionable for this week's game with an ankle injury. It seems likely he'll play, which makes Drake a flex option with some riskiness. Drake has solid touchdown potential. He has five touchdowns over his past five games. However, his yardage is tough to trust now that Edmonds is taking more work from him. If Edmonds ends up sitting, Drake is a strong RB2 option.
