Kenneth Lofton Jr. Picks Up 20-Point Double-Double Versus Philadelphia
1 year agoMemphis Grizzlies power forward Kenneth Lofton Jr. had a nice outing in the Summer League against Philadelphia on Monday, leading the team to a 94-92 victory with a game-high 21 points, while adding 13 rebounds to his tally. He also collected four assists and two steals during a busy 30-minute shift. Lofton Jr.'s 6-for-15 shooting left an ugly stain on his stat line, but he was an impressive 2-for-4 with the three-ball. The 20-year-old was one of the stars of the G League last season, and he will look to make strides in the NBA next season as well. During his rookie campaign, Lofton Jr. averaged only 7.3 minutes of action and played in 24 games. However, he's already demonstrated great potential by becoming the first player in NBA history to put up at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in his first career start since the league began tracking starts in 1970-71.
