3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie running back Kenneth Gainwell took a backseat in the running game in Week 8 despite starter Miles Sanders (ankle) being on injured reserve. Instead, the Eagles gave a dozen carries each to special teamer Boston Scott and practice squad player Jordan Howard. Gainwell did end up with 13 touches, but 12 of them came in the fourth quarter of a complete blowout game. Week 9 features another tantalizing running back matchup against a Los Angeles Chargers defense that is useless against the run, but Gainwell's usage cannot be trusted to make him a relevant fantasy starter this week.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
