Kenneth Gainwell Scores During Sunday's Victory
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell took five carries for 19 yards and a touchdown, adding one reception on two targets for a loss of two yards, during the team's 29-21 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 23-year-old has not recorded more than seven touches in a game through the first four weeks of the season but has found the end zone twice with his limited workload. Teammate Miles Sanders has been impressive early on, keeping Gainwell and the rest of the Eagles' running backs off the field. While the passing attempts in Philadelphia are up by a large amount on a per-game basis compared to last season, the second-year back has averaged just two targets per game. Unless an injury occurs, Gainwell is nothing more than an emergency flex option with a low weekly scoring floor for fantasy purposes. He should be left on the bench in most leagues next week when Philadelphia travels to Arizona.
