Kenley Jansen Ready For Rebound Season?
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen had a career-high 3.71 ERA last year and blew eight saves. But he spent the winter at Driveline Baseball trying to improve and has struck out 10 hitters while allowing only three hits so far in his five spring innings. It's the first time Jansen has double-digit strikeouts in spring training since 2016, the year he was selected to his first All-Star game. If the right-hander can get some of his velocity back and strike out some more hitters along the way, he'll bounce back to elite fantasy closer status. He's currently going as the eighth fantasy fireman off the board in drafts around pick No. 102 overall, but Jansen could easily finish as a top-three closer by season's end.
