Kenley Jansen Notches Save No. 17
1 year agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Kenley Jansen allowed one run on three hits while striking out three across 1 1/3 innings to earn the save in Saturday's 7-6 win over the Blue Jays. He entered the eighth inning to protect a one-run lead. The 35-year-old struck out Cavan Biggio to end the inning. With two outs, he surrendered an RBI single to Vladimir Guerrero Jr., while Bo Bichette was thrown out at home trying to score the game-tying run during the ninth inning to end the game. Jansen notched his 17th save of the season. He owns a 3.45 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and a 35: 13 K: BB across 28 2/3 innings in 2023. Jansen is Boston's primary closer, and fantasy managers should continue to roll with him in all formats.
