Kenley Jansen Closes Out Wednesday's Victory
1 year agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Kenley Jansen came into Wednesday's contest against the Kansas City Royals in the ninth inning with a 4-2 lead. He allowed one run and a walk but struck out one and earned the save, his 25th of the season. Jansen continues to pitch well at age 35, sporting a 3.13 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 28.8% strikeout rate across 37 1/3 innings. That kind of production is valuable in every league, and fantasy managers should start the long-time veteran in every format as he remains Boston's closer.
