Kene Nwangwu Rushes For 45 Yards Against Cleveland
3 months agoMinnesota Vikings running back Kene Nwangwu showed consistency and reliability in his starting opportunity against the Cleveland Browns. He had seven rushing attempts for 45 yards in Saturday's win over Cleveland. Nwangwu found holes and seemed to run toward daylight on each of his carries, building off his 52-yard and one-score performance from last week's preseason matchup against the Raiders. The return specialist had been getting some looks as a running back in training camp as the Vikings are looking for a bit of a committee approach behind new starter Aaron Jones. Nwangwu started as Jones, and Ty Chandler did not play Saturday. If his performance continues, Nwangwu may see a reasonably-sized role within the offense as a compliment to Chandler behind Jones.
