Keibert Ruiz Breaks Slump With Multi-Homer Game
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers catcher Keibert Ruiz broke out of his slump in a big way on Monday. Playing for the Double-A Tulsa Drillers, Ruiz hit two home runs, breaking his 2-for-22 slump. He's got a terrible .637 OPS right now, but he's the second youngest player in the Texas League (behind Fernando Tatis Jr.) at 19. He's impressing mightily with both his hit tool and power. He's a catcher, though. Depending on how you feel about rostering catching prospects and your bench space, he's worth keeping an eye on. But scouts and prospect lists rave about him, so snagging him now in dynasty leagues could yield a helpful trade as his call-up hype grows.
