Keenan Allen Ruled Out For Week 3
7 months agoChicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 3 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The veteran wideout will now miss his second game in a row due to a lingering heel issue. This is obviously frustrating for fantasy managers as the 32-year-old had plenty of hype surrounding him to begin the season. His absence should mean an increased workload for both Rome Odunze and DeAndre Carter. Both players are sneaking their way onto the fantasy radar with the Bears shorthanded on offense.

Bears Likely To Let Keenan Allen, Teven Jenkins Walk In Free Agency
1 month agoESPN's Courtney Cronin writes that it's more likely that the Chicago Bears let both wide receiver Keenan Allen and offensive guard Teven Jenkins walk in free agency this offseason. Allen and Jenkins are Chicago's top two free agents this year, but neither are candidates to be slapped with the franchise tag. Allen will turn 33 this year and has clearly declined, while Jenkins missed 23 games over four seasons due to injuries. Allen, a six-time Pro Bowler, predictably disappointed in his first and potentially only year in the Windy City with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams struggling in 2024. In 15 starts, he caught 70 of 121 targets for 744 receiving yards (his fewest in a season since 2016). However, he was money in the red zone with seven touchdowns for the second straight season. Allen developed chemistry with Williams, but he could have more bounce-back appeal in fantasy if he goes elsewhere in free agency.

Keenan Allen Disappoints In Final Game Of 2024
3 months agoChicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen was fairly uninvolved in the team's 24-22 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 18. The former Los Angeles Charger finished his final game of his first season with the Bears, catching three passes for 25 yards. This was Allen's second straight game with 25 receiving yards and his eighth game of the year with fewer than 40 receiving yards. The 32-year-old receiver was firmly the second-option in the receiving game behind D.J. Moore, with Allen finishing his season with 70 receptions for 744 yards and seven scores across 15 games. The former California receiver may even enter 2025 as the third option in the receiving game and maybe a decent depth piece for fantasy next season.

Keenan Allen Remains On The Fantasy Radar For Week 18
3 months agoChicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen is nowhere near the player he once was. However, his first season in Chicago hasn't been a total wash. He's appeared in 14 games, which is a blessing in itself. The wideout also has 67 catches for 719 yards and seven touchdowns, which is better than expected, considering the Bears have first-year quarterback Caleb Williams under center. With Chicago limping to the finish line, the team will look for a strong end to the 2024-25 campaign versus the Packers in Week 18. Unlike Allen's days in Los Angeles, he's no longer an automatic fantasy starter. Still, there is no denying he can get hot, so he warrants consideration for any fantasy lineup.

Keenan Allen Posts Minimal Stats Despite Seeing Eight Targets In Loss To Seattle
3 months agoChicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen was reasonably involved within the offense in Thursday's 6-3 loss against the Seattle Seahawks, though he disappointed with his production. The 32-year-old pass-catcher tied for a team-high eight targets but only caught five passes for 25 yards receiving. Allen struggled to gain momentum throughout the game as the defense swarmed him on every reception. Entering Thursday's contest, the veteran wideout was coming in hot, catching 15 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns in the previous two games. Overall, Allen has caught 67 passes for 719 yards and seven touchdowns over 14 games during his first season in Chicago. Allen will hope to bounce back in Week 18 as the Bears will end the season against the Green Bay Packers.
