Ke'Bryan Hayes Homers Monday Night
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes went 2-for-5 with one homer and two RBI during an 11-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Monday. The 24-year-old took an 0-2 pitch off of Braves relief pitcher Josh Tomlin 374 feet over the right field wall for his fourth home run of the season during the eighth inning. The productive night at the plate was sorely needed, as Hayes had been 1-for-22 during the previous six games. Hayes missed two months due to a wrist injury and has four homers, 17 RBI, 17 runs and two stolen bases with a .252/.328/.423 slash line over 31 games. Hayes will look to build off of the performance against Braves right-hander Ian Anderson on Tuesday.
