Kawhi Leonard Drops Quick 28 Points In His Return
4 years agoLos Angeles Clippers small forward Kawhi Leonard was back on the floor following a two-game absence, scoring 28 points in 30 minutes in Wednesday's 128-105 blowout win over Portland. Leonard, who played only three quarters, was wearing a protective face mask, after getting acquainted with Serge Ibaka's elbow last week and needing eight stitches. He had a rough start but ended up shooting a nice 9-for-17 from the field with a 3-for-5 record from downtown. Kawhi also dished out seven dimes and recorded three rebounds and three steals. The Clippers take on Utah next in a matchup in which Leonard struggled last season. He averaged a decent 24.5 points against the Jazz but shot only 30 percent from the field.
