Karl-Anthony Towns Posts Monster Line Against Lakers
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns had a monster game against the Lakers on Sunday, but his efforts couldn't save Tom Thibodeau's job. According to ESPN, the Wolves have relieved Thibodeau from his duties as team president and head coach. KAT poured in 28 points against the Lakers while adding 18 rebounds, four blocks, three assists, and two steals. He shot 11-for-20 from the field and had a perfect record from the line with five attempts. Minnesota have had a decent season, but they aren't in the playoff spots at the moment and thus the firing of Thibodeau doesn't come as a very big surprise. The Wolves start life without Thibodeau on Tuesday against OKC, which isn't a very comfortable matchup for Towns with Steven Adams around.
