Karl-Anthony Towns Posts Monster Double-Double Verse The Kings
7 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns was outright dominant against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. He scored 26 points on a white-hot 9-for-10 shooting, including going a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. Towns also added 17 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks to round out his line. Nobody on the Kings could contain Towns, as he used his quickness and size advantage to score at will against the Kings bigs. This continues a strong last few weeks for Towns, who has been on a tear recently. Over his last eight games, Towns is putting up 23.0 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 blocks per game, all while maintaining his sparkling efficiency, shooting 57 percent from the field and 94 percent from the free-throw line in that stretch. With Jimmy Butler (knee) out for the next four to six weeks, Towns may be due for an uptick in production, too.
