Kalif Raymond Could See Enhanced Role In Week 18
1 year agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond will likely see more snaps in two or three wide receiver sets if Jameson Williams (ankle) cannot suit up in Week 18. Williams has been earning more targets and snaps as of late, but he's dealing with an ankle injury. Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds have operated as starters all season, so Raymond has the potential to be the biggest beneficiary of Williams' absence. That said, Raymond is unlikely to see heavy target volume either way against the Minnesota Vikings, so he'd become a mere touchdown-or-bust play in deep leagues if Williams can't go.

Kalif Raymond Gets Through Another Full Practice
3 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond (foot) was a full participant in practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Raymond was designated to return from the injured reserve last Thursday. Afterwards, Raymond was a full participant in practice, but remained sidelined for Monday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. It remains to be seen if the Lions will let him back get on the field for the regular season finale against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. Raymond has 16 receptions for 204 yards and two touchdowns this season. If active, fantasy managers shouldn't expect Raymond to be a difference maker during Sunday's game.

Kalif Raymond A Full-Go In Practice
3 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond (foot) has been designated to return from the injured reserve on Thursday. Raymond has been out of action since suffering a foot injury in late-November. He returned to practice as a full participant on Thursday. It appears the 30-year-old is trending in the right direction ahead of Monday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. He'll likely need to get through a few more practice sessions before the Lions decide to clear him for game action. If active, Raymond won't be a recommended streaming option as he has basically been depth throughout the season. He doesn't offer enough upside to start in any formats in Week 17.

Kalif Raymond Placed On Injured Reserve
4 months agoThe Detroit Lions have placed wide receiver Kalif Raymond (foot) on injured reserve, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Raymond suffered the injury last Sunday and could miss the minimum four games before returning in Week 17. At the very latest, Detroit expects to have him back for the NFL playoffs. The 30-year-old receiver has played in 11 games this season, catching 16 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns. Fantasy managers can stay away from Raymond as long as both Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams remain healthy down the stretch.

Kalif Raymond Looking Unlikely For Week 13
4 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver/kick returner Kalif Raymond (foot) was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday's practice for the second straight day, making it more unlikely that he won't be available for the team this Thursday on Thanksgiving versus the division-rival Chicago Bears. The 30-year-old is getting a second opinion on the foot injury he suffered in the Week 12 win over the Indianapolis Colts, and the Lions already expressed earlier this week that they don't love Raymond's chances of suiting up on a short week. They'll most likely hold him out against the Bears and hope he can make it back to play in Week 13 for another divisional showdown against the Green Bay Packers. His primary value to Detroit comes as their top punt returner, as he has only 16 receptions for 204 yards and two TDs on 21 targets in 11 games in 2024.
