Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (upper body) won't be available for Sunday's contest against Vegas and is considered day-to-day. The young blue-liner has just returned from a knee injury that cost him 23 games, but he sadly has to take some time off again due to another injury. Guhle has spent his rookie campaign on a bad team and it hasn't been a pleasant experience for him, but the 21-year-old has done pretty well in the circumstances, notching 15 points in 39 games with 42 shots, 75 hits and 71 blocks. The Canadiens blue line will also remain without Justin Barron (upper body), who is regarded as day-to-day as well.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (quadriceps) has been cleared to play in Friday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. Guhle has missed 19 games since undergoing surgery to repair a lacerated quadriceps muscle. He will partner with Lane Hutson on the second defensive pairing. While Guhle primarily does the dirty work on defense for Montreal, having recorded 100 blocks and 67 hits this season, he has also contributed offensively. Across 44 games, Guhle has scored four goals and provided 10 assists.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (quadriceps) will travel with the team on their upcoming road trip. Guhle has been sidelined since the end of January due to this injury. However, it appears the 23-year-old is nearing a return to action. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next contest on Tuesday evening in St. Louis. If Guhle cannot suit up in this contest, he could return on Friday evening when the Canadiens travel to Philadelphia to face the Flyers. Through 44 total contests this season, the former 16th-overall selection from the 2020 NHL Draft has found the back of the net four times and added 10 helpers. However, Guhle carries high fantasy value in category leagues as he logged 67 hits (1.5 per game) and 100 blocked shots (2.3 per game).--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle is expected to miss significant time following surgery to repair a lacerated quadriceps muscle. The team has ruled him out indefinitely. Guhle sustained the injury in Tuesday's contest against the Winnipeg Jets. He made his 44th appearance of the season in the game. The 23-year-old has tallied four goals and 14 points with 100 blocks and 67 hits. Jayden Struble, who was recalled from the AHL on Wednesday, appears set for a regular role in the team with Guhle out. Struble is a more physical defenseman, with 53 hits registered in 26 outings this season, but he offers far less offensively. The 23-year-old has posted two goals and three assists with 27 shots.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (illness) will be back in the lineup for Saturday's meeting with Washington. He was unavailable on Thursday versus Nashville because of an illness. Justin Barron filled his spot and will likely come out of the lineup again on Saturday. Guhle plays a big role in the Canadiens defense, averaging close to 22 minutes of ice time. In 20 outings, he's recorded six points (two goals, four assists), 21 shots, 48 blocks, and 26 hits.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
