Justus Sheffield Called Up To Big Leagues
6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher prospect Justus Sheffield was called up to the big leagues on Saturday. The No. 16 overall prospect in baseball, per Keith Law, was previously dominating at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The first-round pick will be used out of the bullpen, however, which means he won't have value in redraft leagues. Sheffield should be owned in all dynasty/keeper formats. In 25 outings with Double-A and Triple-A, Sheffield was 7-6 with a 2.48 ERA and 123 strikeouts. Opponents hit just .195 against him in the minors.
