3 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that left-handed pitching prospect Justin Wrobleski will make the start on Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals in the series opener at Busch Stadium. Wrobleski, the team's No. 6 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will make a spot start to allow the Dodgers to give an extra day of rest to right-hander Tyler Glasnow. This will be the 24-year-old southpaw's fifth start in the big leagues this year. In his first four starts, he allowed 10 runs (nine earned) on 17 hits (four homers) while walking seven and striking out 15 in 20 innings pitched for a 4.05 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. Wrobleski is surely a gamble as a fantasy streamer, but the good news is that the Cardinals have found it hard to hit left-handed pitching in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
