Justin Upton Exits In Third Inning On Tuesday Night
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton left Tuesday night's game in the third inning with a potential injury, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Bollinger reports that Upton struck out swinging to end the bottom of the second inning, and was then replaced on defense in the top of the third inning by Juan Lagares. There's no word yet on what the injury is or it's severity, but it seems likely that this is a side or oblique issue based on the description of events. Managers should keep an eye out for updates later tonight, as Upton has been in the midst of a resurgence this season where he is slashing .249/.339/.484 with 14 homers, 32 RBI and 40 runs scored over 62 games.
