Justin Herbert Gaining Steam
5 years agoOregon quarterback Justin Herbert has gained some steam through the pre-draft process heading into next week's draft. He's got the size (6-foot-6, 236 pounds) and a huge arm, which has led many executives to fall in love with him as possibly the second QB off the board behind Joe Burrow and before Tua Tagovailoa, who has medical concerns. Herbert has the physical traits, but it might take some time for him to pick up the nuances of reading defenses at the next level. Seven of 12 anonymous NFL executives polled think Herbert will go ahead of Tagovailoa next week. There are some questions with Herbert's makeup and whether he can perform under duress, but he also didn't have the weapons at his disposal that Burrow or Tagovailoa had.
