Justin Foscue Beginning Rehab Assignment
6 months agoTexas Rangers infield prospect Justin Foscue (oblique), who is currently on the 60-day injured list with a left-oblique strain, has been sent to the Arizona Complex League on a rehab assignment and is expected to play on Wednesday night. Foscue made his big-league debut early this year but played in just two games before landing on the injured list with a pretty significant oblique strain. Oblique injuries are notoriously tricky for players to come back from, but Foscue appears to be making good progress and could find himself back with the big-league club before the All-Star break in mid-July. The 25-year-old is the Rangers' No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, but it remains to be seen if he'll immediately return to the big leagues in Texas when he's recovered from his oblique injury.
