Montreal Canadiens defenseman Justin Barron was unable to finish Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers due to an upper-body injury. He exited the action in the third period after taking a big hit from Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba. Barron spent 15:01 on the ice but didn't register any stats in the contest. The 22-year-old has posted one goal, eight shots, eight blocks, and 13 hits through seven games this season. With Montreal off until the weekend, Barron gets some time to recover, but it might not be enough to face St. Louis on Saturday. Arber Xhekaj is in line to hop back into the lineup if Barron isn't available. Xhekaj has sat out a couple of games as a healthy scratch. He has gone scoreless in five outings this season, recording five shots, five blocks, and 10 hits with a minus-four rating.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
