8 months agoWhen asked about running back Justice Hill, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh referred to him as a "high-value running back." It's apparent that Hill has solidified his role as the RB2 in Baltimore's backfield. “he’s a high-caliber running back, I think he's going to play a lot,” said Harbaugh. However, with Derrick Henry in front of him and Lamar Jackson slated to get his fair share of the team's carries, the opportunities will be scant for the fifth-year RB. Hill had the most productive season of his career in 2023, amassing 593 yards and four touchdowns on 112 total touches. He holds little standalone value but would be the most obvious player to benefit if Henry were to miss any time. Standing as the current RB72 in NFFC ADP, Hill presents as nothing more than a handcuff option or late-round best-ball flier.--Alex Ciulla

3 months agoBaltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (concussion) is officially active ahead of Saturday's Wild-Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hill will be back in the mix after missing the last two games due to a concussion. He has cleared the league's concussion protocol and should have his normal workload during Saturday's game. Normally, Hill doesn't see many carries with Derrick Henry getting a majority of the carries in the backfield. However, Hill does have four receptions or more in three of his last five games. He should be able to get involved as a pass-catcher, but it probably won't be enough to warrant using him in DFS contests.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

3 months agoBaltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (concussion, illness) was upgraded to a full practice on Wednesday after he kicked off the week on Tuesday with a limited practice. Hill missed the final two games of the regular season due to a concussion that he suffered in Week 16 while also dealing with an illness. It appears the 27-year-old is feeling much better, although he still will need clearance from an independent neurologist later this week to return to play on Saturday night when the team hosts the visiting division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round of the postseason. When healthy, the pass-catching specialist has limited fantasy upside as the change-of-pace option behind lead back Derrick Henry. However, the Ravens were the highest-scoring offense in the NFL in 2024, and Hill did set career-highs in receptions (42) and receiving yards (383) in 15 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoBaltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (concussion/illness) returned to practice on Tuesday after missing last week's game against the Cleveland Browns with a concussion and illness. Hill suffered a concussion in the Week 16 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the 27-year-old has played second-fiddle to Derrick Henry this season, he has been important in the passing game with 42 receptions for 228 yards and a touchdown in 2024. With Zay Flowers (knee) banged up and at risk of missing the Wild Card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hill could be asked to do more as a pass-catcher on Saturday. The statuses of both players are worth monitoring.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

3 months agoAccording to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (concussion/illness) has been ruled out for Saturday's contest against the Cleveland Browns. Hill will now miss his second-straight contest. During the week he was unable to take the practice field and will set his sights on returning in the opening round of the postseason. As a result, Keaton Mitchell and Rasheen Ali will operate as the backup options behind workhorse Derrick Henry. Throughout the season, Hill has seen most of his work on passing downs. He has seen at least three targets in seven games and even saw five or more in five of them. Fantasy managers should not view Ali or Mitchell has viable options in this game as Henry should see the vast majority of attempts.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
