While a driver's past success at a track can sometimes be misleading, particularly given how the sport changed with the introduction of the NextGen car in 2022, for Hamlin, the data has remained consistent. In his 24 Cup starts at the "Diamond in the Desert," his average starting position is 15, while his average finish is 12.7 (+2.3 place differential). In his four starts at this track in the NextGen car, his average starting position is 16.5, and his average finish is 14.5 (+2 place differential). Similarly, out of his 24 Cup starts he has 12 top-10s (50%), and in his four NextGen starts he has two top-10s (50%). While his consistency at this track is an important factor to keep in mind, it is also important to recognize how he has performed at tracks similar to Vegas. Since 2022, in the 14 races on low tire wear tracks, Hamlin has averaged 50.50 DraftKings points and has appeared in the DraftKings optimal lineup four times.
