Julio Rodriguez Stays Hot In Loss To The Yankees
1 year agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and a strikeout in a 10-4 loss to the New York Yankees on Monday. The 22-year-old superstar took Domingo German deep to left-center field in the fourth inning for a solo blast that pulled the Mariners to within two runs. He victimized German again with a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning. The rest of the M's lineup didn't do much outside of Rodriguez as they were blown out. After a slow month and a half to begin the season, Rodriguez has been on fire over the last two weeks. In the last seven contests, J-Rod is slashing a ridiculous .433/.433/.800 with three home runs, nine RBI, and one stolen base across 30 at-bats. Overall, Rodriguez owns a .247/.311/.451 batting line to go along with 10 home runs, 31 RBI, and nine stolen bases across 215 at-bats.
