Julio Jones Not Worried About Contract Situation
6 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones isn't concerned about his contract situation and isn't publicly lobbying to become the league's highest-paid player at his position. The six-time Pro Bowler doesn't seem pressured to get anything done for the time being, as he has two years and $21.026 million left on the five-year, $71.25 million extension he signed in August of 2015. His current average of $14.25 million per year is 11th among receivers. Jones could easily reach $20 million per year with his next contract. He has five straight years of 80-plus catches and 1,400-plus receiving yards. Jones is 133 receiving yards away from moving past Roddy White as the team's all-time leading receiver. Despite his age, Jones remains one of the most productive wideouts in the league.
