Julian Edelman Practices Monday, Comes Off NFI List
5 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (thumb) practiced for the first time on Monday, passed his physical and was removed from the Non-Football Injury list. Edelman broke his thumb in July and hasn't played since the Super Bowl win over the Rams. The 33-year-old had 74 receptions for 850 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last year -- he missed four games due to a suspension for performance-enhancing drugs. If healthy, Edelman should approach 1,000 yards receiving as Tom Brady's go-to target in this offense. He's a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in PPR leagues, but this injury could cause him to start out slowly.
