6 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (ankle, illness) did not practice on Wednesday. Edelman doesn't seem to be in any danger of missing the potential Week 9 shootout on Sunday night against the Packers, so he's likely being rested early in the week. The 32-year-old was one of quarterback Tom Brady's favorite targets Monday night, catching a season-high nine passes on 10 targets for 104 yards. He hasn't had fewer than seven targets in his four games and should remain heavily involved in an offense with many mouths to feed.
