JT Brubaker Allows Only Two Runs On Monday Night
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher JT Brubaker allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one over five innings of work in a 3-2 loss to the Nationals. While Brubaker did not factor into the decision, he recorded his third start in a row in which he allowed three or fewer runs, as he has now posted a 2.87 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings over that span. After combining to allow 12 runs across two starts against the Braves and Cardinals, Brubaker seems to have bounced back to the level of success he had early on in the season and is once again a solid streaming option in most formats.
