5 months agoTexas Rangers infielder Josh Smith (glute) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. This is the same issue that sidelined Smith for some time in June. The 26-year-old is hopeful to only miss a few games, but we'll wait and see what happens. This season Smith is slashing .293/.386/.451 with seven home runs and 34 RBI in 83 games. He has been a nice surprise for them, so hopefully Smith won't miss too much time. Jonathan Ornelas will draw the start at third base and bat ninth against right-hander Shane Baz.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
