Josh Jacobs Officially Out For Week 17
5 years agoOakland Raiders rookie running back Josh Jacobs (shoulder) has officially been ruled out for Week 17 against the Broncos. Jacobs will end his impressive first year in the NFL with 242 carries for 1,150 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. He added 20 receptions for 166 scoreless yards through the air. His 4.8 yards-per-carry average was impressive, but Jacobs' lack of involvement in the passing game was a bit concerning as a game-flow dependent RB1. Still, Oakland's backfield is in good shape moving forward with Jacobs in the mix. Unless the Raiders start to feed him more looks through the air in his second season, though, he'll be a volatile RB1. Deandre Washington has RB2 and DFS appeal as the lead back for the season finale with Jacobs sidelined.
