Josh Gordon Plans To Sign With Chiefs
3 years agoFormer All-Pro wide receiver Josh Gordon, who is being reinstated, is planning to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to sources. Gordon didn't play at all in 2020 while serving an indefinite suspension for violating the league's policies on substance abuse and performance-enhancing substances. The 30-year-old will be eligible to play in Week 4, but he'll have to learn KC's offense in a hurry, and he hasn't played since Week 15 of the 2019 season. There will surely be some rust, and the Chiefs offense is stacked with pass-catching weapons as it is, so it's hard to see Gordon making much of an impact, at least right away. Gordon's big-play abilities -- he averages 17.2 yards per catch in his career -- will likely make him an attractive waiver-wire pickup, but temper your expectations.
