Donaldson was sidelined for five games with hamstring tightness, though he is slotted back into the order at the three-spot for Minnesota. He'll serve as the designated hitter, likely an effort by the club to ease him back into the action. Donaldson has been a solid contributor, as evidenced by his .248/.356/.478 slash line with 16 homers, 44 RB, and 45 runs scored. He should be activated against Astros lefty Framber Valdez, considering he owns a .517 slugging percentage against southpaws compared to .460 against righties.--Tim Capurso
