Josh Bell Drives In A Run On Sunday
2 years agoCleveland Guardians first baseman Josh Bell went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a strikeout in a 7-6 loss to the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Bell whacked an RBI double, his fifth of the season, to score Steven Kwan in the top of the third inning. The RBI gave Cleveland a 4-2 lead, which wouldn't last. After a painfully slow start to the season, the switch-hitting 30-year-old is slashing .276/.323/.552 with a home run and five RBI over his last seven games. Overall, Bell has a triple-slash line of .190/.304/.328 with the lone home run, seven RBI, and four runs scored. It seems like he's starting to pick things up at the dish and that could continue when the Guardians start a three-game series with Detroit Tigers on the road on Monday.
