Josh Allen Has Quiet Half On Friday
5 years agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen played the entire first half of Friday's preseason game against the Lions and completed three of six passes for 49 yards and also added 17 rushing yards on two attempts. The Bills went with a run-heavy attack in the first half, but opened things up a bit more in the second half when Matt Barkley threw for 142 yards. This was Allen's lowest passing output of the preseason so far, but there's not much to make of it. Frank Gore and LeSean McCoy got their most extended work so far so it's likely that head coach Greg McDermott just wanted to prioritize other things during the game. Allen remains a solid late-round sleeper to target in fantasy drafts, especially enticing in two-quarterback leagues.
