Josh Adams To Miss Offseason Workouts
6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Josh Adams (shoulder) is expected to miss the start of the team's offseason conditioning program after he had surgery on his shoulder in January, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Adams had labrum surgery after the playoff loss and was given a six-month timetable for a return, so he should be ready to go in training camp in July. He became the team's starter in Week 11 last year and made five starts the rest of the way, rushing for 333 yards and three touchdowns in that span. He led the team in rushing with 511 yards and three scores on 120 carries. Philly added Jordan Howard in a trade this offseason and also have Wendell Smallwood, Boston Scott, Corey Clement and Donnel Pumphrey, so it might be hard for Adams to top his 2018 numbers in a crowded backfield picture.
