Jose Urquidy Exits Tuesday’s Start Early With Shoulder Discomfort
3 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Jose Urquidy (shoulder) was removed from Tuesday's start against the Orioles with right shoulder discomfort. His velocity (89 MPH) was down in the second inning and, after a visit from the trainers, was removed from the game. The 26-year-old allowed one run (a solo homer) on one hit while striking out none across one 1/3 innings before exiting. He was replaced by Andre Scrubb. The severity of Urquidy's shoulder injury is unknown at this time and he's considered day-to-day. Urquidy has been excellent for fantasy managers this season, owning 3.38 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and a 66:13 K: BB across 77 1/3 innings. An update on Urquidy should be provided after the game. Stay tuned.
