Jose Trevino Traded To The Yankees
3 years agoThe Texas Rangers traded catcher Jose Trevino to the New York Yankees in exchange for Albert Abreu and Robert Ahlstrom. The 29-year-old is a defensive stalwart but doesn't produce much at the plate. He slashed .239/.267/.340 with five home runs, 30 RBI, 23 runs scored, and a stolen base over 89 games for the Rangers in 2021. Trevino is expected to split time with new teammate Kyle Higashioka but is mainly an option in AL-Only leagues despite having an expanded role moving from Texas to New York.
