Jose Soriano Picks Up Win With Quality Start
6 months agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Jose Soriano picked up his third win of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Padres. Soriano posted his fourth quality start after going six innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out one. It was a much-needed bounce-back after two consecutive starts where he allowed four earned runs in each. The 25-year-old now owns a 3.64 ERA (3.84 FIP), 1.21 WHIP, and 10.8% K-BB% on the season. The righty won't help out in the strikeout department for fantasy with a lowly 7.69 K/9, but could be a decent innings-eater that won't crush your ERA and WHIP. His next start lines up with the D-backs on the road next Tuesday.
