Jose Ramirez Not Starting Sunday
Jose Ramirez is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the New York Yankees. Ramirez will take a seat after going a combined 1-for-7 with a double, walk and four strikeouts in Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees. The 29-year-old switch-hitter remains a must-start in fantasy, though, when he's in the lineup, as he's hitting a strong .292/.377/.588 with a .966 OPS, 16 home runs, a league-leading 63 RBI, 46 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 318 plate appearances over 73 games. Rookie Gabriel Arias will get the start at third base and is hitting third in the lineup against Yankees left-hander Jordan Montgomery. This will only be Arias' fifth major league game. He's gone 2-for-13 so far with an RBI and four strikeouts.

Jose Ramirez Out On Saturday
Jose Ramirez (ankle) is not in Saturday's lineup when the Guardians continue a series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Ramirez suffered a right ankle sprain during Friday's contest against the Blue Jays and will be held out of action as a result. Fantasy managers should monitor his status leading up to Sunday's game. However, the team will likely opt to monitor his workload over the next week to ensure he does not face any setbacks. Through his first 31 games of the campaign, Ramirez has posted a .274/.323/.451 slash line with five doubles, five home runs, and eight stolen bases. Instead, Will Wilson will get the nod at the hot corner and bat eighth. He is not worth targeting in DFS facing Toronto right-hander Kevin Gausman.

Jose Ramirez Diagnosed With Ankle Sprain
Jose Ramirez (ankle) was forced to exit early during Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. It appears Ramirez has suffered a mild right-ankle sprain while trying to beat out a single in the third inning. This probably isn't something that should land Ramirez on the injured list, so fantasy managers shouldn't need to panic. For now, Ramirez should be considered as day-to-day, but he could be placed on the shelf if it doesn't get better in a few days. Fantasy managers should expect Ramirez to probably sit out the rest of the weekend. Will Wilson took over at third base and might see more time over there the next few days.

Jose Ramirez Leaves Early On Friday With Leg Injury
Jose Ramirez (leg) left Friday's game early in the third inning against the Toronto Blue Jays with an apparent right-leg injury after he went into the first-base bag awkwardly while trying to avoid a throw from right-hander Chris Bassitt. Before departing, J-Ram went 2-for-2 with a stolen base. Gabriel Arias shifted from second base to third base, while Daniel Schneemann entered the game to play second base for Cleveland. The good news is that the 32-year-old Ramirez walked off the field under his own power, but that doesn't mean it isn't a significant injury. Fantasy managers will want to check back for more information on Ramirez's status, but don't expect him to be in the lineup for Game 2 of the series on Saturday. If J-Ram's injury requires an injured-list stint, both Arias and Schneemann would become everyday players on the infield for the Guardians.

Jose Ramirez Homers, Drives In Four On Monday
Jose Ramirez had a big game in a 6-4 win over the New York Yankees on Monday. Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a homer and four RBI to help power his team to the win. The star infielder hit a three-run homer off New York starter Clarke Schmidt in the third inning to break a scoreless tie and then came back to add an RBI single in the sixth inning. Ramirez is now hitting .276 with five homers, 10 runs, 13 RBI, and three steals across 76 at-bats in 2025. He is starting to heat up at the plate with a .357 average over his past seven games. He remains a must-start fantasy option in all formats.
