3 years agoThe New York Mets reinstated infielder Jose Peraza (finger) from the injured list on Wednesday. Outfielder Albert Almora Jr. was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Peraza was sidelined for nearly two months due to a fractured right middle finger. He was seeing semi-regular playing time earlier in the season when the Mets were bombarded with injuries. The Mets are a bit more intact now, at least in the infield, and they also added Javier Baez while Peraza was injured. As a result, Peraza will be relegated to a reserve role going forward. He came in as a pinch-hitter in his first game back on Wednesday and went on to deliver an RBI single in the seventh inning.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
