Jose Miranda Homers Twice On Friday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Jose Miranda had the best game of his young career in Friday's 9-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in the game. The 23-year-old rookie was initially called up at the start of May and looked overmatched for the most part during his first two weeks in the majors. He was called up for the second time about a week ago and has now homered three times since his return. Miranda was dominant in the minors last year, slashing .344/.401/.572 while racking up 30 home runs, 94 RBI and 97 runs across 127 games split between Double-A and Triple-A. He's someone to keep an eye on in all fantasy leagues as he has a shot at being a difference-making bat.
