2 years agoThe Miami Marlins have signed shortstop Jose Iglesias to a minor-league deal on Thursday. They also reportedly signed Yulieski Gurriel as well, so they've added multiple infielders to their roster. The expectation is that Iglesias will provide utility depth to their infield. The 33-year-old is likely to compete with Garrett Hampson for a spot on the Opening Day roster. There isn't much fantasy value with Iglesias, but he has been a consistent hitter throughout his career. Last season, Iglesias hit .292/.328/.380 with three homers and two steals with the Colorado Rockies.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
