6 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias (abdomen) received a cortisone injection in his lower abdominal strain and will be out at least the next few days while it takes effect. There still remains a chance that Iglesias doesn't make it back this year with the Tigers not in playoff contention. Niko Goodrum (quadriceps) was also injured on Wednesday, so Ronny Rodriguez will man shortstop at least for the next couple of days.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
